INSTALL COINBASE WALLET

Coinbase is a browser extension & mobile app with Base Chain supported that acts as a wallet used to store your Ethereum. Alternative is Metamask or Trust Wallet.

Follow the instructions from Coinbase on how to create a wallet in your browser or device.

Switch to Eth network (Base)

Once you have completed the setup process, you need to obtain ETH on the Ethereum network, or on an L2 supported network such as Base and Arbitrum, and bridge it later to Degenchain.

CREATE AN EXCHANGE ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE ETH

If you have no ETH, you will need to create an exchange account, e.g. Coinbase to purchase ETH. Skip this step if you already own ETH on your Coinbase Wallet.

To create a Coinbase account go to Coinbase.com and create an account or log into you Coinbase account if you already have one.

EXCHANGE / BUY ETH

Exchange BTC, USDT, USDC or any other supported token for ETH on the Coinbase exchange. You can also directly buy ETH on the exchange with fiat if you prefer to.

WITHDRAW ETH TO Ethereum Network (Base)

In your Coinbase account, open your BTC wallet then tap on Withdraw.
Withdraw it to your Coinbase wallet (BASE)

Paste the wallet address you get earlier from your Coinbase Wallet and choose the amount you want to withdraw

Complete the steps to withdraw.
Wait for the exchange to process your request. Once it is confirmed, you will immediately receive ETH to your Base Ethereum address.

BRIDGE TO DEGEN CHAIN

In order to purchase $LOCK, you need to have Degen token on Degen Chain.

There is a few way to bridge ETH Base to Degen, but native bridge is recommended.

ACCESS THE NATIVE BRIDGE

Go to Degen Chain native bridge website.

INPUT THE AMOUNT OF ETH TO BRIDGE

Make sure that Ethereum / L2 selected as source network assets to bridge to Degen Chain

Insert the amount of ETH to bridge to Degen Chain and Receive Degen Token

Click Transfer and complete the steps to bridge.
Wait for the bridge to process your request. Once it is confirmed, you will immediately receive Degen to your Coinbase wallet (make sure to add Degen network on bottom corner left of Degen bridge website).

PURCHASE $LOCK ON DEGEN SWAP

Make sure the network tab in your Coinbase wallet is set to "Degen Chain". Follow the Degen Swap website to exchange on website and swap your ETH for $LOCK. Here is the official $LOCK contract address.
